Our first original Christmas song! & BONUS TRACK
Recorded in August 2023 and released in November 2023 - this Christmas track carries all the warmth and love that Wall of Sound Community Choirs can bring. These two tracks encapsulate the wonderful lyricism of Debbie Edge, a member of Wall of Sounds Flagship Choir, and their musical director Grace Allwood. Sit back and listen to these two thought provoking and catchy tunes and let them whisk you away to the festive season.
When asked about writing this song Debbie said:
"This was written after my dad passed away and I wrote a poem about him, the smell of him, old spice woodbines. Watching tele, Morcambe and wise, reliving all my memories and now seeing the way the world is now.
We didn’t have loads, but we still had family. Things were tough, I know things were hard as a large family, you learn to share."
Christmas is a Feeling comes from my daughter:
“Christmas never turns out the way it’s meant to.”
But for me it depends on what you’re expecting. It’s the build up of the feeling around that time of year that gives you a buzz and the excitement. It might be just for children but I still get that now.
