Safeguarding Policy - Protecting Our Choir Community
Our Commitment to Safeguarding Adults & Children
At Wall of Sound Community Choirs, safeguarding our members is our highest priority. Our comprehensive safeguarding policy protects both adults and children across all our Liverpool and Prescot choir locations. We maintain a zero-tolerance approach to abuse, exploitation, and neglect, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for everyone in our community choir family.
Wall of Sound Community Choir aims to rebuild and create community through song and music. This is both through weekly organised rehearsals and performances.
Wall of Sound Community Choir is committed to Safeguarding Adults and Children in line with national legislation and relevant national and local guidelines.
We will safeguard adults and children by ensuring that our activities are delivered in a way which keeps all adults and children safe.
Zero-Tolerance Approach to Abuse and Harm
Wall of Sound Community Choir is committed to creating a culture of zero-tolerance of harm to adults and children which necessitates: the recognition of adults and children who may be at risk and the circumstances which may increase risk; knowing how adult and child abuse, exploitation or neglect manifests itself; and being willing to report safeguarding concerns.
Safeguarding in All Settings
This extends to recognising and reporting harm experienced anywhere, including within our activities, within other organised community or voluntary activities, in the community, in the person’s own home and in any care setting.
Wall of Sound Community Choir is committed to best safeguarding practice and to uphold the rights of all adults and children to live a life free from harm from abuse, exploitation and neglect.
