Liverpool's Passionate Community Choir Leader
Grace Allwood is the heart and soul behind Wall of Sound Community Choirs. Since founding the choirs in May 2021, Grace has created something truly special across Liverpool and Prescot – welcoming spaces where people of all ages and abilities come together to discover the joy of singing, build confidence, and form lasting friendships.

A Passion for Music and Community
As a Vocal Process Accredited Teacher, Singing for Lung Health Practitioner, and holder of Vocal Health First Aider certification, she's committed to staying current with the latest vocal pedagogy, health practices, and teaching methods, ensuring every member receives the best possible guidance in a safe and supportive environment.
But what truly sets Grace apart is her approach. Whether leading one of our three choirs – at Joseph Lappin Centre, Imaginarium, or our Wall of Sound Flagship – or working one-to-one through her Grace Allwood Music practice, Grace believes in client-led learning.
This means lessons and rehearsals are built around you, your goals, and your pace.

Grace's specialized training in Singing for Lung Health means she understands the therapeutic benefits of singing and can support members with respiratory conditions, helping them strengthen their breathing and improve their wellbeing through carefully designed vocal exercises.

With a BA in Music from the University of Liverpool and over a decade of teaching and performing experience, Grace brings both expertise and warmth to everything she does. Her impressive credentials include:

Under Grace's award-winning musical direction, Wall of Sound performs at 15-20 community events each year at beloved Liverpool venues including Palm House in Sefton Park, St Luke's Bombed Out Church, Woodlands Hospice, The Reader at Calderstones, and Heys Court NHS. These performances aren't just concerts – they're celebrations of community, connection, and the transformative power of singing together.
