Wall of Sound Community Choirs – Rehearsal Terms & Conditions

1) Who we are

Wall of Sound Community Choirs is run by Grace Allwood. We provide friendly, inclusive community choir rehearsals across Liverpool and Prescot.

2) Joining and taking part

  • No auditions and no need to read music.

  • Your first rehearsal is free (one free taster session per person, unless agreed otherwise).

  • By attending, you agree to follow these terms and to treat other members and the venue with respect.

3) Fees and payment

  • Fees are shared clearly when you join and may vary by choir.

  • Monthly payments are due on the 1st of the month, or by the first rehearsal you attend that month.

  • Pay-as-you-go (PAYG) fees are due on the day you attend.

  • If fees change, we’ll share the updated amount with members.

  • If you’re struggling financially, please speak to Grace in confidence. We’ll do our best to find a workable option.

4) Monthly membership – additional terms

  • To qualify for any additional workshops that are offered as a monthly membership benefit, you must have paid 3 consecutive months of monthly fees.

  • You can cancel your monthly membership at any time by notifying Grace in writing (preferably by email).

5) Cancellations and changes

  • We sometimes need to cancel or change a rehearsal (for example: venue issues, low attendance, severe weather, or illness).

  • If a rehearsal is cancelled by Wall of Sound, we will offer a replacement rehearsal where possible.

  • If you can’t attend, please let Grace know when you can.

6) Health, safety, and wellbeing

  • You take part at your own pace and are responsible for your own wellbeing.

  • Please tell Grace (privately) about any health needs that might affect your participation.

  • If you feel unwell (especially with a contagious illness), please don’t attend rehearsal.

  • Please follow venue safety rules (including fire exits and accessibility guidance).

7) Respectful behaviour

We want rehearsals to feel safe and welcoming.

  • Please be kind, inclusive, and supportive.

  • Bullying, harassment, discrimination, or aggressive behaviour is not acceptable.

  • Grace may ask someone to leave a rehearsal if behaviour is unsafe or repeatedly disruptive.

8) Children and young people

  • Under-18s must be accompanied by a parent/guardian unless agreed in writing.

  • Parents/guardians are responsible for supervision and behaviour.

9) Photos, video, and audio recording

  • From time to time, photos or short videos may be taken at rehearsals or events for Wall of Sound marketing (e.g., social media and the website).

  • Please tell Grace if you do not want to be photographed/filmed.

  • Members should not record rehearsals (audio or video) or share recordings of others without clear permission from Grace and everyone identifiable.

10) Materials and copyright

  • Lyrics and rehearsal tracks are provided for personal practice.

  • Please don’t share rehearsal tracks or materials outside the choir unless Grace has said it’s OK.

11) Personal belongings and venue property

  • Please look after your own belongings.

  • Please help us keep the rehearsal space tidy and treat venue staff and property with respect.

12) Data and contact

  • We keep basic contact details so we can manage membership and send rehearsal updates.

  • We won’t sell your data.

13) Questions and complaints

If something isn’t right, please speak to Grace. We’ll handle concerns fairly and as quickly as possible.

14) Updates to these terms

These terms may be updated occasionally. The current version will be shared with members.
